Son Ye Jin confirms return with upcoming ’39’ romantic drama

Nothing could be more exciting for K-drama fans than watching Son Ye Jin return to screens after three years.

According to reports on Korean news portals, the famous actress has chosen and finalized her next project. The news broke on June 30, when the star’s management agency confirmed that Son had decided to star in JTBC’s upcoming romantic drama titled “39”.

It has been three years since she was seen in the drama “Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food”. The romantic drama “39” is said to be a 12-episode series that will tell the daily lives of three friends on the verge of their forties.

The actress was offered the character of Cha Mi Jo, a woman raised in a well-to-do household while having everything she could wish for. In the drama, she is presented as the chief dermatologist at a clinic in Gangnam.

The series will feature a cast including Jeon Mi Do, Ahn So Hee, Yeon Woo Jin and Lee Moo Saeng. It has been reported that filming for the series will begin in August 2021 and will be directed by director Kim Sang Ho.

The drama was written by Yoo Young Ahm, the famous writer who previously wrote “Meet,” Kim Ji Young, born 1982 “.
