Ron Williams

Profile

Ron Williams comes from an amazing family rich in music tradition. The son of singer/songwriter Leona Williams, Ron has been surrounded by legends of country music since childhood, often sleeping in a guitar case as an infant while mother Leona was on stage.

Former step-son of both Merle Haggard and hit songwriter/guitarist Dave Kirby, Ron was given the golden opportunity to grow up surrounded by legends of the industry. At age 17, Ron began polishing his own unique style of country music. With influences including Glen Campbell, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Larry Gatlin, John Conlee and others, he has consistently proven that he is a genuine country artist, and worthy of being referred to as “the real deal”.

Performing and traveling all over the U.S., Ron continues to build a huge fan base and has gathered critical acclaim from many of Music Row’s top executives. Ron has performed with some of country music’s biggest icons including Gene Watson, Bill Anderson, Vern Gosdin, Johnny Bush, Jean Shepperd, Darrell McCall, Ferlin Husky, Sammy Kershaw, Craig Morgan, Lori Morgan and many others. Notable highlights include performances at the Ryman auditorium and as a regular host of the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree.

Ron’s songwriting credits include a co/written charted single on artist Joe Diffie, titled “Somethin’ like this” , the title track from the gospel album “Before you say amen”  from Heart of Texas Records recording artist Justin Trevino, and a single on Music City Records recording artist Sonny Burgess  titled “Alone with you”.

With traditional country music on its way back, now is the time for an artist like Ron Williams.  Ron has been married to wife Amy for ten years and has two beautiful daughters, Alexis and Olivia.
